Manual Stylesheets Updated

Hi guys, Just a note to say Ive updated the stylesheets avalible at phpuk.org/~james/gtkss.zip, these have various fixes in them, mainly for the linking of functions etc. As well as a few others that escape my mind right now. - James

php-gtk network programming

In the php manual it talks about the connection() method as being unstable, not fully implemented and maybe temporary. Having said all of that, has anyone tried any network programming with php-gtk? i was going to give it a shot and try to build a php-gtk gnutella client, albeit a very rudimentary one. Just thought it would be helpful to have any advice from others running into pitfuls with such a venture. Jeff

Manual Stylesheets and Build system

Hi Everyone, Ive just finished reworking the manual stylesheets and build system, we now use LibXSLT (http://www.xmlsoft.org) which is avaible for both Windows and Linux having been written in C. The manual xml files are still in CVS I have only removed the stylesheets that are there. To build the manual: Get php-gtk-doc cvs module $ cvs -d:pserver:cvsread@cvs.php.net:/repository login Password: phpfi $ cvs -d:pserver:cvsread@cvs.php.net:/repository co php-gtk-doc Once this is done you need to download and install LibXSLT and php if you have not already, you will need to

Database Connectivity

I know this is a little off topic but my brain is dead and I can't really think of how to fix this. I had been using phpgtk 0.0.4 up till today just fine. I downloaded v. 0.1 from the site and did the following: ../configure --prefix=/usr/local make make install everything seemed to go just fine. When I tried to run a script i'm working on (which I KNOW runs) I get a php error saying this: Unable to load dynamic library './php_gtk.so' - ./php_gtk.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory So I think it just can't find the file because it isn't in the pa
